MATHIAS MULLER DJ2HD

Personal statement:

I received my license in 1998 with the first callsign DG1MUE and upgraded it in 2002 by passing the CW exam.

I received my class 1 licence with the callsign DJ2HD on April 18th, 2002 and one day later I started to a 5 weeks DXpedition to the North Cape. There we were active with a 100 W transceiver and different wire antennas only.

Ever since I fell in love with the DXpeditioning. I like portable activities, running pileups and contests. I'm active on all shortwave bands and also on VHF / UHF as a member of the DR9A contest crew. My main operation modes are SSB, RTTY and CW.

I'm a life member of the GDXF (no. 506) and a member of the DARC district group A07 Karlsruhe.

Furthermore I'm an operator at DA0HQ and also responsible for the contest station DR2W operating from the University of Applied Sciences in Karlsruhe.

Activities: A35DJ, ZL/DJ2HD, 3V8SM, ZS/DJ2HD, HB0/DJ2HD, 9M2/DJ2HD, 7P8DJ, V55V and V5/DJ2HD.

Profession: I'm 33 years old. After my degree as an electronic engineer I'm working as a product manager in the field of semiconductors for a worldwide acting company.
