THE 2004 CORDELL EXPEDITIONS
PT. SUR, CALIFORNIA

THIRD EXPEDITION 15-17 Oct. 2004

We are pleased and proud to announce the successful completion of the third of the three scheduled expeditions to Schmieder Bank off Pt. Sur. During 15-17 Oct. 2004, thirteen people carried out dives on the newly-discovered 140-ft ridge on the NW side, and on the shallowest pinnacle on the Bank.  Several dives were also made in the kelp forest at the anchorage at Wreck Beach.

This expedition completed the 2004 schedule. On Oct. 18 McMurtry and Schmieder brought the Cordell Explorer back to Berkeley.
