| We mourn the too-soon loss of our great and good friend. Dan was an extraordinarily giving individual. He participated in many Cordell Expeditions, to Pt. Sur, the Farallons, and Rocas Alijos. His great physical strength was matched by his love for his family and friends. His superb technical ability as a diver enabled him to save the life of a diver who was in trouble in open ocean at 150 ft. His work as a diver, crew member, and field researcher was instrumental in making the projects successful. He worked tirelessly on the Cordell Explorer. We honor him with the Dan Prunty Memorial Exploration Grant. |
